In 1980, Alan graduated Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, with a B.F.A. in Photography.
In 1982, Alan attended Rutgers University seeking an MBA degree, and all his friends were confused. A year later, Alan came to his senses and resumed the pursuit of the only thing he could imagine himself doing: photography.
The last twenty six years have been spent producing images that seek to distill the subject matter down to the most essential, powerful, and visually compelling elements. These solutions surface through a dialogue with the client, and the application of classical aesthetics: color, form, composition, line, proportion, and most importantly, light.
